My e-cig climbed out of my pocket somewhere, so I set about building a new battery unit, 2nd 2P pair from a previously opened laptop pack, put it on charge overnight and completely dead in the morning. The brute force emergency charger took the terminal voltage upto about 218V, obviously that cell pait is open circuit - I didn't know that could happen!
